For Tangled Audio 002, we are proud to introduce some of the Trance scene’s biggest up and comers on an EP that has something for everyone. Canadian based Somna has been making waves as of late, with originals and remixes for labels such as Armada, Enhanced, Adrian & Raz and more. For TA002, Somna teams up with rising British talent, Amos. The result is an intense Tech-Trancer, with a massive bassline, crisp percussion, and Techy stabs, that all lead the listener to the euphoric breakdown. After the breakdown, infused with piano stabs, lush pads and an epic lead melody, ‘Riser’ builds into an all out Tech monster, dropping back into the huge bassline layered underneath, who would have guessed it, a huge riser synth keeping true to it’s name. After an energetic build, the main lead is introduced backed by huge euphoric pads, as ‘Riser’ goes into peak-time Trance mode.

On remix duties, we have Amos himself with his primary production partner, Riot Night, putting an Uplifting twist on the original. Driving basslines, and a more Uplifting interpretation of the mean lead make the Amos & Riot Night Remix a huge Uplifting addition to the package. For the second remix, we have American producer Spencer Hardwick putting his unique “Tech-Lifting” take on ‘Riser’. Rolling bass layers, Techy stabs, shuffling percussion and some serious acid lines take over before reaching a mini-break that introduces the original’s epic lead melody. The epic breakdown is intensified with serene pads, the lead melody and some cool FX choices. After the break, Spencer’s remix transforms into a Tech/Electro hybrid monster with a massive bassline that is guaranteed to shake any dance floor.
